I have so far switched the TPS, MAF, plugs, plug wires, Fuel pump,battery, battery terminals.

It is having problems from idle to start the rpm climb. It will climb only if I give it extremely light throttle. Heavy throttle will bog down and stall.

Finaly switched the ecu to a 1.8.

Still having problems idling. Car will drive but feels like it is not getting full power and when I let of the gas the rpms drop and stall.


I am getting tired of this. I think I am going to switch the Idle actuator and fuel filter.

I don't know if this will help, but you may want to try replacing the wires going into the tps.

I hate my car.

Something is killing my battery.

When I unplug the TPS, IT idles and drives fine. I already switched the TPS and Idle controler.

I am about to give up/

Not that anyone cares but its been a long time since I posted.

So I finaly decided to work on the Elantra. I re-did all the wiring that I screwed up during the turbo process. Maf, Tps, ecu

Started it up and it idles fine. Seems to be good. New tires are going on hopefully tomorrow/Monday.

Then inspection time.

Current mods on the car are:
2.0-1.8 engine downgrade
K&n panel filter, removed snorkel
Magnaflow cat
2.5" piping
glass pack
turbo muffler
Eibach springs/struts
Whiteline rear swaybar
Pioneer headunit, 6x9s, door speakers
Kicker 12", ported box
Fosgate 8002a
Leather
