What's the point of a DIS 4 without a stand alone? The factory ignition only has 2 channels. That's only 2 trigger wires. You're going to run wasted spark because you're always going to fire 2 coils. I don't see how or why you would use a 4 channel ignition system if you only have 2 channels.

All I need is an Msd dis to pull timing for nitrous. It can be a dis 2 or 4 or whatever as long as it works for what I need. This one must be bad.

1. Because the DIS is an ignition amplifier and enhances the factory ignition, even on a factory ECU.

2. Because it will retard ignition. (I used gobs of nitrous back in the day.)

3. Because you can run a 4-COP on the factory wasted spark system and get them to perform better with the DIS.

4. Because I got a great deal on the DIS 4, and it does the same job a DIS 2 would, even on a factory twin coil system.

So, what you're saying is there's no reason to run the DIS4 over a DIS2 other than that you got a good deal on it.

Here's my recommendation... Sell or return the DIS4 and get a DIS2. It will be much easier to install.

So it's too hard for you to understand that you just leave out the 2 extra trigger wires?

Sounds about right for today's "trained mechanic".

You sound like a typical customer... "I bought this part that's not really what I need, but I got cheap. Can you make it work?"
