and let me tell you MT-90 is a b**** to clean off of hot pavement so says the track crew at the drag strip !!!!!

they said it was like molasses !!!!!!! hahaha

MT-90 owned.gif them !! it took them 30 minutes to clean the track

I changed my fluid this morning. It took all of 15 minutes... lol. Sure seemed alot more intimidating than what it was. The initial feel using the Royal Purple is that it is alot smoother shifting than the stock fluid that was in it. I do not know how long it has been in there so that could have alot to do with it. The old fluid wasn't too bad looking, kind of a root beer shade. The 24mm bolt had minimal metal shavings stuck too it, in fact when I ran my finger over them they practically disintegrated.

Supposedly the ingredients in Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil eat away at some of the internal parts of hyundai trannies. I would not use that stuff man. Someone else has to of heard of this too. sad.gif

my next oil change i plan to switch to penzoil syncromesh, which is the same thing as the gm syncromesh but cheaper, u can find it at autozone

heres an example of how good it is

my 91 celica had griding issues going into 2nd and 3rd, every now and then 4th.

old toyotas are notorious for syncros completely failing before late 92

i drained out my old 80w90 and put the syncromesh in. Went so see how good this stuff was and trans shifts like it was new, keep in mind that this is on a 200,000 mile plus transmission, i can ram the thing in the gears and no griding.

my friend with a 03 tiburon had a griding issue going from 2nd to 3rd, he got the sycromesh put in and now no more grinding.

my tib has a very slight grind going into 2nd and i have a copy of the service records and this car never had a trans service so i plan to do one soon

To actually answer your question, yes, 75/90 is the right stuff.

Could anyone tell me how many quarts are required?
I need to do a trans fluid change soon and I'd like to know how much to buy beforehand.

Thanks!
