Ya I did. It helped out alot. I heard of people doing w/o it but I wouldnt recommend it. I think the size is 7/8 - 20 spline. Most autoparts store have them. Dont hold it to me though.

Great, thanks landshark.

I got my beta 2 tranny today and was planning on doing my swap this week, but since i'm selling my unsprung clutch disc i had to order a sprung one from prostreet and it'll take about 2 weeks for me to get it, so yeah, i'll have to wait till i get my clutch disc to do it.

It's worth the wait........You will enjoy that set-up so much! The Beta II tranny is SO smooth. The engagement on the clutch was harsh at first but after the first 150 miles it smoothed out alot. That or I am just adjusting to how it engages. Its still really nice for a 6 puck clutch.

^^^ awesome to hear, i ordered the same clutch last week, still looking around for a tranny. 150 is a steal!! best one i can find is with 10K miles for $350

Jump on it! I paid 450 for mine and it had 28k on but I still am happy with it.

yeah i bet. The thing i like most about this is that it'll be boost ready!!

Yeah, jump on it. I got mine for 400 and it has 40k miles on it, it was from a 2002 GT Elantra.

picked up the trans today, 04 elantra with only 10k on it! where did you get your axle seals at? i tried autozone pepboys and checker they say its "unavailable"

damn the yard i looked at had like 5-6 beta2 trannys all for under 200 bucks. thats crazy that you guys cant find these at good priced. none of their trannys had more then 35k on them

I got them at the local dealer. They are the only thing that isnt overpriced there. LOL

The gears on the newer elantra trannies are longer than the RD tib ones right?whats your RPM at 70mph?
