u may have installed the tob incorrectly on the transmission
u may have to replace the slave cylinder or the master cylinders
i would assume it is a wiring issue check for proper grounds incorrectly soldered parts, and wires making contact with metal they cause those things

Did you see the pics I posted?
According to those measurements, when you bolt up the trans, there will be a 1/4" gap between the bearing and the pressure plate.
What am I missing?

what year motor did you get?
iirc there is a flywheel adapter for the early 2.0 and the later 2.0 engines, although iirc its for the hub of the flywheel
its like $20 at hyundai
maybe thats it
also, if the bearing is already attached to the flywheel BEFORE the trans is on, there will be no way it will activate
bearing has to go on the shift fork
