Yup, that's the issue. They have different flange thicknesses. Go get some new bolts.

I'm getting my Airram installed after tomorrow by some great guys. I also have questions here, the PVC Tube definitely has to be extended, what is the sizing of the tube and can I buy them in some colors, red or something? I need to buy some tubing before monday morning. Would silicone tubing work well? Weapon R sells them but I need to have these by Monday the 8th. eautoworks sells them but i need them now!

The IAT Tube. What are the sizing of that tube? Should I just buy some fuel lines? Where can I buy some nice tubing meant for the application?

I know REDZ you mentioned this already, but will the stock studs fit with the thermoblock spacers? I had two people tell me they wouldn't.

I'm with Redz on getting to the bottom IM nuts, I took mine off an hour ago from the top, not to difficult. The hardest part for me is the 2 brace bolts under the IM, mine just won't budge. Anyone have any tricks?? I have to get this damn head off the car by the end of the weekend.

Man you guys need to search, between the topics i wrote on unspoken airram issues, hamhead's questions thread, and monoxiechid+screwdrivers thread there is no problem you will encounter which has not been talked about.
and for the spacers all you do is follow outlaw's detailed diy

supry, WD40 or something like that.

HKC, as for colors I'm not sure. I believe IAT is the little unit that sits behind the Manifold right? If it is then it's 3/4" and I just used some heater hose from autozone for it. The stock studs at the T/B might not be long enough depending on the thickness of the flange on your TB. At the point where Airram meets the head it's fine.

i think the TB will be long enough from the airram, or at least seem like it. i'll have to see later on when i can afford a TB lol. zoned i checked that out along with the DIY, but i don't think the airram install DIY includes the tube extension does it? it's cool though, i'm aware of every issue, just looking for other options. do you have yours on the red tib yet?

Ebay SS Braided Hose

You think I could use a braided heater hose for them both?

After all the trouble you keep having, you are letting other folks install your shit again? Dude, JUST INSTALL IT YOURSELF!!! Damn. I love ya man, but stop paying others to do simple work.

My other airram just showed up today. I'm getting it Ceramic coated on the 1st along with my headers and will be doing a full DIY (REDZ Style), with part #'s of hoses from autozone or wherever, with the curves in them. I will be looking to replace it with some Samco Sport hose later, but I need to find a hose with the correct diameter and curve.

I'd only use silicone if it's reinforced, you'll find that you may have problems with a collapsing hose.

Do what's been suggested before. Install the airram, see what the bend looks like, measure the length you need, and go to Autozone or another parts store. Ask them to look at their preformed hoses, and find one that matches the curve you need and is as long as you need or longer. Tada!

Don't know who told you that, but yeah, it fits. My prototype one did at least. Others have bought them without the new studs. Look at the DIY I did, there's even a OEM stud on there too in pics.

Why does everyone else have so many problems with those? For the ones that just "WON'T" budge, get the biggest ratchet you have and put the socket on there. Try to put all your weight onto it, or if you have space, just use a cheater bar.

yeah, i made a tips and pesudo-install thread as well.

the 3rd thread i've stated this in .. get some VINYL tubing, it won't kinky as easy as silicone.

all the hose sizes and lengths that you need are covered in monoxiechild's thread, and i even have some tubing left over from mine that u can buy in my FS thread.

HKC quit letting people do shit for you dude the airram install is EASY.

i did 100% of work from the top, the hardest part is getting the top row of IM bolts in and out, you have to have some small, nimble hands.

Please read through these and see if you still have questions

regarding cruise control and airram - http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?s...ic=14138&st=20
another install tips thread - http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?s...5389&hl=AIRRAM
all hose diameters, lengths, extra tips- http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...=airram+install

rather than wasting more of my time writing a pseudo diy i'll just wait for redz's, you know his will be good and complete.
