Autozone, Wal-Mart, Pepboys, god knows what other places sell it. Should be relatively easy to find. Its really good to have around, makes a good engine bay cleaner as well.

I'll bet you probably have a leak... whether it is related to this problem I do not know. How does your car idle? Normal, or a little bouncy?

Normal. But after I installed this Airram I lost .2 seconds at the track in the quarter mile. I was baffled, and a leak would explain both problems I think.

Not every gain is showed in a 1/4 mile. Why does everyone insist that's the measure of a car in the US?

^^ If its a gain then it will show improvement (in theory tongue.gif) . Of course you could've launched/shifted differently which could account for the loss as well.

Does the problem change any if the car is warmed up to when its cold? I would definately start with looking at leaks tomorrow, when you install something along the intake path that is generally where most problems are.

Every gain may not be shown in a 1/4 but a loss after an upggrade like that is a problem. Am I right?

The car does seem to run better after she's warmed up for a while, like 20 -25 minutes. But of course I push my car all the way to the start line when I'm racing, try to keep her as cool as possible. But I think it is quicker when it's good and hot now that you mention it.

You owe me a fahzillion dollars if it does run better after its warmed up. As the engine bay gets warmer, air leaks will get smaller because of the heat expands the material. laugh.gif So generally a car with leaks will run better when its warm.

hmmm I would definetly check that the valve inside the throttle body isnt sticky. When I first installed my R-side TB the throttle was very sticky and I really had to push the gas pedal down to get it to go. Now a year or so later it runs like a dream. No stickiness at all. I would also check to make sure no cables are interfering with the butterfly valve on the back of the TB. I put a oil catch can in my car and I noticed that the one hose kept getting too close to the valve. If it got too close it couldve gotten wedged in there and that wouldve been very very bad. But otherwise that might be a factor.

Gotchya. Let me see here... well I just checked my account balance and I'm a little short of a fahzillion. Maybe we can work out a payment plan. Sorry about the double post. Didn't know there was such a thing or that it was illegal. Thanx for the input guys I appreciate it. I'll try getting new gasket's and checking these seals then I'll report back. Thanx.

RedZ, does this make sense to you? Is it a gasket or a spacer? Do you sell them lol. I am thinking that this area might be where the leak is. The air is comming in after the MAF & throttle body. Hows the idle? High?
