Humm, RANDOM can I use 2.0 KORE rods on my 1.8 crank with the Flat Top pistons designed for 10:3:1 , and get somewhere around (9:1 compression)?
Or should I start looking into buying a new 2.0 crank?

No, you have to use 2.0L rods with 2.0L crank, and 1.8L rods with 1.8L crank....UNLESS (read on)Humm, RANDOM can I use 2.0 KORE rods on my 1.8 crank with the Flat Top pistons designed for 10:3:1 , and get somewhere around (9:1 compression)?
The 2.0L rod is shorter than the 1.8L rod. (2.0L has longer stroke, on the CRANK which equals a shorter rod)
If you use 2.0L rods on 1.8L crank you will have crazy ammounts of unused combustion area at the top of the stroke. Doing the math in my head, 2.0L rods and 1.8L crank would lead to about a 6.42:1 compression ratio. That's just a TAD on the low side. You'd need to get custom extra tall pistions made to raise your Compression Ratio.
If you use 1.8L rods and a 2.0L crank, you'll punch the head off the block, as the pistions will clear the block deck. Unless you get SHORTER custom pistions made.
Stick with 2.0L rods on a 2.0L crank and 1.8L rods on a 1.8L crank.

Ok, so who makes 1.8 performance rods that can withstand 300WHP? KORE, CNK, CROWER....???
I heard that there not available, is that true?
After that is answered I wont bug anymore bout this, for real.
