how much did your Clutch job cost? and where did you get it done?
You don't need to do it at where you live... I know someone who went to a Wal-Mart parking lot with tools and jacked up his car there and worked on it because it was asphault and flat...

thats pretty messed up......
Hey, I need to replace my clutch too. Where in VA are you located? Maybe we could help each other out and do it ourselves. I am in the Hampton Roads area. Anyway, I have access to a garage with all the tools and lifts and stuff on the navy base.
I was looking at the hmaservice TSB on how to do it. The don't mention anywhere about having to remove the half-shafts, but if you were to take the transmission off I would assume you would have to do that? Keep in mind I have never done anything like this before and I am just going off of what other people are saying. If I could do it myself I could go ahead and get a better aftermarket clutch. I know that an aftermarket oem clutch is around $100, go to rockauto.com and look but I don't think it is an excedy. Here is the link that I am looking at to buy a clutch. http://www.hopupracing.com/drivetrain67.html
which one do you think would be the best for someone that wants a clutch that is a little stiffer than factory but not too stiff like a drag clutch. I was looking at the ACT clutches, are these any good. If so, which one would be best the race disc or the street disc.
