That sounds reasonable but one problem (note to reader: Look at the topic of the thread and then respond with idiotic responses). Therefore, how am I going to handcut copper gaskets with an exacto knife? I need material thats easy to manipulate but will moderately withstand the exhaust gases like I stated before.

Bringrice,

So let me get this straight, you shelled out a chunk of money for headers, but you are going to limit yourself in making a gasket, because the only tool you have is an xacto knife? Simple logic should show you that you must select the right tool for the job, not put the job you are doing at risk because you don't have the right tool? If it's just thin copper then go get a pair of tin snips/sheet metal cutters so you can cut the copper. Cost you maybe ten dollars for the cutters.

It has been answered SEVERAL TIMES already. Get some tin snips and copper sheeting, make a gasket or two, then return the snips you cheap bastard. rolleyes.gif

Come on guys let's put this together the right way. If he paid little to nothing for the catback/head combo. He's using plastic for gaskets this means one thing. He turned the Random CAI into the Random Header/Catback combo, yeah that's right. I bet if we look under his hood there's gonna be a ton of flexpip tubing, 1 inch for the 4-2 part, then 3 inch on the 2-1 part. haha

Annealed copper is a dead soft nonferrous material, easy to manipulate with out stress cracking.
