Ghetto Gaskets
I've decided to go on with the project of manifesting my own Ghetto Gaskets...
Im going to go roaming the isles of walmart once again trying to complete this project so can someone guide me in the right direction...
What is the easiest and most efficient material to work with?

copper. It stands up to high heat, and is easy (soft) to work with.
Why not just try to do it the RIGHT way? Contact Bosal. Contact who you got the headers from. Contact your local exhaust shop.

Exhaust gaskets are already made out of the cheapest material that works. Auto companies and exhaust shops look to save pennies wherever they can, and a 'high performance' gasket offers no benefit over a cheap one in 99.9999% of the cases.(the remainder being very high-performance race applications, but you're not headed for the LeMans circuit)

So what material should i look for that will withstand the exhaust gasses?

Hmmmmm, try cardboard. I know, how about silly puddy it copys newspapers and you can't beat that!
Dude it's been said over, over, over AND over again. Veniston told you where to go, HRD_Tiburon said what material to use and RANDOM told you TWICE! If you can't figure it out by reading this thread, then don't bother engineering a gasket!
Sheesh
