Exhaust question
catalyst not ready means the computer hasnt monitored the cat enough to determine if it should set a code yet
the computer has "readiness monitors" built into it to make sure you dont try to cheat emissions by clearing the code before you go get a emissions test
MIL stands for malfunction indicator light
usually the cat converter/o2 readiness monitor take about 2 days to set after clearing the code during normal varied driving (some low speeds for x miles, some high speeds for x miles, x amount of key cycles)

I'm positive there wasn't another code, if there was it isnt in this scanners database, and it has over 4000. Also, I do have a cat, but both sensors are before it because I took out my first one since I replaced the manifold with headers. I read about a fix with putting two little screw in inserts I'll try that next time I go to waco.
Should it drive fine until the codes set again? Or will it continure to run in limp mode until I get the sensor problem fixed?
Thanks for all the help.
Also i made sure, It said 1/1 and I tried scrolling and it didnt go anywhere. I'm going to be getting a better scanner in the next few days and then I'll scan it again.
Would my battery being dead cause the CEL to come on? Cause I had an amp wire shorting out (previous owner just cut the wires instead of unhooking everything so I guess it finally just shorted against something) and drained my battery completely so I've been charging it. Gonna try to fire her up soon.
Edit: So we figured out its not my battery. Put it on my dads bigger V8 and it cranked without a problem.
So we proceeded to troubleshoot. Checked the starter wires, they're secure. Checked the clutch to make sure it was engaging/disengaging and it was. Checked the starter fuse to see if it was attempting, and we can here it clicking but evidently its not getting anything to the starter(or the ECU isnt letting it.)
Then while I was pokin around I noticed my Oil temp sensor?(or pressure im not sure which it is) had come unplugged. It's the one right by the crankshaft sensor. We tried for about 45 minutes to get it on, and it just wouldnt go. Is there any trick to it? I even took the boot off to make sure I was lining it up right, and i was. It just wont go on the prong for some reason. No its not bent, so idk why it won't go on.
Also, would this keep the ecu from letting the engine try to turn over? Or would it turn over and just not fire?
