i have the obx 4-2-1 headers with a magnaflow cat and mbrp catback...buzzy. go with a glasspack. it sounds like shit otherwise. i hate the way my car sounds now with the headers and no glasspack.

 

I have the same setup and it is definatly not buzzy. Loud and deep as hell. At one time I had a test pipe on it and then it definatly was buzzy but as soon as I installed the high flow cat it sounded great!

 

yeah, that high-flow makes a huge difference

 

I have a KRD 4-1 Header, Test Pipe, 2 1/4 inch mandrel custom cat-back, into an Apexi N1 muffler.

I'm anxiously awaiting my RSide 4-2-1 headers still and I hope that the AEM CAI/RSide Headers sound good together. It's a used header though.. dont know if that's going to make a difference.

So Zman, you really think for tuners who are taking it step by step, you should get your headers and then install perhaps a magnaflow muffler for the time being before a catback?

 

I'm having a GT system Racing 4-2-1 Header and with high flow cat converter and the system upgrade muffler with 2.5" mendral bent ss pipes. Its awesome and the sound is great and deep. i luv it haha.gif

 

What do you guys think about Aeroturbine mufflers?

My friend is selling his AeroTurbine 2540i muffler for a very good price, and it sounds great on his stock exhaust (1.75" piping)

For the time being, I was thinking this could go on at the same time as the headers. I know what you are all going to say, go buy a catback or get a shop to do custom mandrel bends.

But these are overpriced mufflers, and they sound great! Besides, my stock muffler has gone to shit, and I really do not want to put another one of those back on.
