I also have the 4-2-1 and I love it!!
It made the car more growly especially with the intake and roars pretty aggressively at WOT...not buzzy at all though. You just have to watch out what catback you use and make sure you use a high-flow cat as to not burn out the baffles. wink.gif

i have the 4-2-1 SSAutchrome as well and it helps..It dons't make a BIG difference but it helps. As far as the loud noise..I love it while I'm doing city driving...It get's very annoying during highway speeds..especially when making long trips..you do get used to it BUT I notice that my hearing isn't as good when getting out of the vehicle for long periods of time.

I used to have 4-1 on my rd on stock exhaust and it sounded.... like stock!
I have 4-2-1 on my Elantra with a full exhaust and its loud as a mother fu*ker!
I installed a 4-2-1 on this guys car, he already had an exhaust, and it was almost as loud and buzzy as an airplane!!!

The buzzy effect some people have (mostly Honduh's) is mostly because of the catback that they run. The OBX catback makes a fairly high pitched tone to start with and once you get more flow due to the headers it can get nothing but worse...... I have the SSA 4-2-1 headers and an MBRP catback. They sounded nice together (loud but not busting my eardrums loud). But I went and but the SSA test pipe on. BAD IDEA. Not only is it lounder than all hell, the exhaust buzzes (still a low tone but none the less) at full throttle, and it back pops sometimes. Needless to say that POS is being replaced hopefully this weekend with a HighFlow.

The header alone will give you a small power increase but it is a stepping stone. A catback doesn't do much without a header and highflow. This goes both ways.

hmmm, the header will cut off .4-.5 seconds off your 1/4 mile....
it will not give you noticeble power? you must be kidding me!!!!

for the money that you would spend on ssa header its basically the best mod you can get!!!!

well, i see that you have 4-2-1 and you have manual tranny, and you should have 4-1 with your tranny smile.gif you'd be able to see better gains that way smile.gif
and i went to the track and compared my car stock and my car with a header and it was about half a second difference smile.gif
