Engine Splutters.. need help... chain of problems
this is why you got to a garage if your lost then trying to temper with it yourself..it saves you money in the long run fixing what you break smile.gif
the 60k mark seems to be when the Tibs start to break down. If you can get over that hurdle you might be good for another 60k. If you're the first owner of the car, the warranty should cover the TPS (it did for me @ 62k miles). It might not now b/c it's been broken off, but I'd try and get it fixed and take it to the dealership and have them check it.
You can get the CEL codes read for free almost anywhere. If you have an AutoZone near you, they can do it. Don't clear the codes until you fix the problem. If you fix the problem, the CEL will probably go off by itself.
Have you read the CEL yet? If you gave us what codes it throws that could really help. Outside of the TPS not being mounted properly, I'm voting for a misfire in one or more cylinders.

Same thing is happening to me. After the engine warms up it starts to idle a little below 1000 rpm's then if i have lights on and turn on the heater it will drop to about 750 and shake and its kinda like its gona stall but if it get it at 1000 rpm's its fine and nothing is wrong with regular driving so just a matter of adjusting the idle should solve it.
Thank you everybody for helping me with my problem. i dont think i would of knew what to do if it werent for you guys.
i brought my car to kragen yesterday and they didnt rent out the OBD so i had to go to my Aftermarket shop and they told me to go to this recommended shop. And so i went and it read out that i had a misfire on cylinder 2. I went back to my aftermarket shop and got some ngk Uranium tipped spark plugs (13 a piece) and ngk wires (60 a set). So i hope that is the main problem (wires and plugs) They gonna reviece the stuff this commin monday (hopefully) and my RD should be running good again (hopefully)

Great... guess what happened today or should i say an hour ago. My air bag light is on. Could the wires be effecting my air bags? What should i check about my air bag? WTF is going on.... What a chain of bad luck...
The past owneer did the 60k service already. The dude spent $810 dollars on the car before he sold it to me.
damn why in the world would you spend $13 per sparkplug, biggest waste of money imo. anyway plugs and wires will cure your misfire, hopefully. as for the squeeking when you turn the wheel all the way, are you running lightened pullies? if not it sounds like the belts are getting lose, put a little more tension on them and see if t goes away. if not then they need to be changed, more importantly the power steering belt but if ones going the rest arent fare behind.
as for the airbag, check all your fuses (in the kickplate and in the engine bay) reset the ecu and see if it goes away if not thats something i would take to the dealer for further help on.
i would have asked for the recipt on that tuneup because that is way over priced for a 60k fix up even if the dealer did it. he had to of done more then a tuneup for that price.
new timing belt, plugs, wires, all fluids flushed and refilled, power steering, ac and crank belts changed. are really the only things that NEED to be done. whihch shouldnt be more then 200 and some change. then if the brakepads and or rotors need to be changed thats an extra 250 at most.
