Chris might know more about this, but it sounds like his entire electrical system is messing up. Wiring harness catch on fire lately? (memories from watching Monster Garage)

I'd reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery cables and pressing brake a few times. If you changed the spark plugs and not the wires, then do that, but the 60k mile service SHOULD have included that.

I would go to the dealership and see if they will run a free diagnostics test, and see if it might be covered under warranty. Some dealerships are awesome, some are horrible! I have to pass up 2 dealerships nearby to go to a really good one a little over 40 miles away. It's worth the trip though wink.gif New tranny installed under warranty laugh.gif

The pulleies are not lightened. Everything is pretty much stock except for I/E. Im probally gonna re tension the belt tomorrow. I was told from the dude that did my OBD that if youo reset the car there is a higher chance that your car would become worst. I actualley do have the recipt for the service.

It was 257.30 for parts and 516.75 for labor. I myself would never take it to this place since they over charge everything. But the past lower didnt kno jack about cars and paid watever for serivice.
The service included: Auto Tranny service, Brake inspec rotate, Lube oil filter, Smog check, Timing belt, Cam shaft seal, front crank seal, 2 multi v belt, os/wp belt, and R&R belt timing? No Rotor or pads

I dont htink i still have a warranty, since im the 3rd owner.I would go to the dealership but the closest one is an hour away and i dont want my car to travel that far in this condition.

ECU reset is not the fixer of anything. In this case its bad, since the car will have to learn new maps while its broken, and will run for a while without the CEL, and will probably screw it up worse.

If your squeaking when you turn the wheel, you have a suspension problem. I am not the master of suspensionism, but I would think that a strut is about to go. Don't quote me on the strut part, but I'm fairly sure squeaky wheel turn is at least suspension related.

The warranty becomes 5 yr/60,000 powertrain after the first owner. So since your RD1 your... well... screwed.

LAst nite i got the spark plugs and wires and installed them. The plugs were DEnso Iridium power ik16#4 and the wires were High performance resistor wire set from NGK. REseted ecu and everyhting ran reallt smoothedly.

Today i drove for like 10 minutes and the cd player dies. Then the speedo them the rpm and eventully the car died rightt in the middle of a busy street. How great. it was the end of everyhting, THE CAR WAS DEAD. i called up my bro and got it jumped. 3 blocks later, it died again. Decided to park on the street it was on by rolling backwards. Went home got tools and went back to car and took the battery to kragen and got it charged. Not sure if that will last, im not really sure. Well i was able to drive it back home but i hope it will stay like that.

If it died after you jumped it and or while driving... its not the battery, its the alternator.

Yeppers, alternator is dead. Going to need a new one of those. Hopefully your getting rid of all the problems your car is going to have for a while. If not, well... lol.gif

Your symptoms are all the testing you need. Even a short would not explain why it would run when jumped but not when the battery went dead again (the car CAN run without a battery if the altenator is good). Without the alt working, the battery was not recharging. Since it was not re-charging, it went dead again.

pull the alternator and take it to autozone, they can test it there... you can get a new one from tibbychick possibly or off of www.car-part.com a new one is going to cost $150-200
