what if you up'd the oil pressure?

I get this prob sometimes, mainly if the car is at idle.

You could probably up the pressure.. have the bypass changed to do so.. But I would be weary of blowing seals.. If anything, the best results would come from taking the head off of the engine and opening up the oil passages to the Lifters... and making sure there are plenty or returns to the pan!

I like your Idea Mad-Machine, I'm just not the machanic type of guy so I would have to get it done by someone.
But I have found a way to stop it yesterday. We had a solo event yesterday and after my first run I was getting the clicking noise so I hold the rpm at 2000rpm for about 1 minute and it stoped! I guess that was enough to get the oil going around again.

Another thing you could try... I forget what company makes them.. but you could run a bottle that holds oil under pressure.. when the pressure drops (where it is connected to the engine, usually at the filter or oilpressure sender) it will send up to two quarts of already pressurised oil into the engine..

Sorry, just wanted to get the info out there. They also make a version for prelubing your engine before start up... considering how much wear and tear takes place on start up.. not a bad thing at all.
