Default Can you ceramic coat pistons?

And if so, what benefit would it have?

Yes, ceramic coating is commonly done on pistons.

On the skirts, it decreases friction (not forever, it does wear off).

When it's done on the tops/face of the piston, it decreases the amount of heat the piston absorbs. In High performance engines it's done on both.

The piston absorbs less heat from combustion/friction which allows higher combustion chamber pressures (higher compression ratio, or fuel/power additive like Nitrous/Nitro-methane etc).

You can ceramic coat damn near everything in an engine, but the only parts that usually show benefits are piston faces/skirts, Head combustion chambers, intake runners, intake manifold, valves(faces, and stems), exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, etc...
