Bringing NA mods into balance for max power
Let's see...
140hp Tiburon
vs
185hp Celica
vs
200hp RSX-S
Slap all manner of parts on there, and you'll have... well... about 150-155hp. Then subtract for weight of bigger wheels and bigger brakes.
Nope, don't think so.

sorry if i sound like i'm beating the dead horse, but it'll be a while before i get the cash for my nitrous. is a full blown N/A setup with an S AFC and all the above mentioned mods capable of beating most of the stock competition? by that i mean, can i get up to par of say a celica gts or even rsx type s? i don't see why not, but what must i do to be able to beat my teammate johns celica, N/a. give me thoughts. thanks
Slap a turbo in and then youll beat em all..I find Nitrous mod ok but you are not havibg fun all the time like the turbo setup...

red's right, but although the i4 can't compare to celica's and rsx's we are also looking at
$15k vs $22-23k
so we win for the price difference. for the price difference you can put a turbo in your tibby and make it go. and hell, tibbies look better wink

Ok...i've never raced an Acura RSX type S, but I have raced the Celica's...all types of them..especially the GT-S. I have beat all of them!! The Celica GT-S has no torque...all of the 180 horses is at the top end..somewhere in the area of 6500rpm...I completed killed them off the line..they merely played catch up after that...although..once they did...they were about half a car length ahead. But by that time..the race was over!!

Hey guys.. i was wondering... I want to get the S-AFC for my 2003 elantra... BUT, everyone that i know that has a S-AFC has a MAF based ecu in their car....
the beta 2 ecu in my car is MAP based...
will the S-AFC work on my car, and if so, how does it interface/modify the fuel control system ????

i don't want to get off topic like random said, so i'm gonna keep this short. racing is all about the driver. yes, celica gt-s's and rsx type-s's aren't too torquey, but they do have variable valve timing and the top end power. but then we're comparing them to a tib, which isn't a torque monster, either (133ft-lbs stock). when you're talking about a 5ft-lbs or so difference in torque among cars that weigh within 200-300 or so pounds of each other, it really doesn't make that much of a difference. learn to drive your car, and you'll be a much better racer. hint-a little bit of wheel spin will get you better 1/4 times.
