How??.... what do you do to the butterfly???.... i know that you bored the TB till 58mm.... but you have to get a new butterfly for that?? any other thing that is has to be done do get that right???........

any DIY of that?

Huh?

It's easy.

You get the TB bored out, and cut a larger butterfly out of some brass plate stock to match the TB's new size.

idk..i know it makes a hell of a difference on a neon..stinks that that mod isnt do-able on a tib...maybe ill pull the one off of my moms 05 elantra...hmm...haha jk shed kill me

actually it's 53mm for the butterfly, 54m mwould be the size of the step right after the butterfly (for both auto and manual tranny)

BTW, some older auto trans car had a switch on the TB itself instead of the "normal" idle speed adjustement screw

Damn, honestly I have not checked it. I let everyone down. 02.gif thanks to REDZMAN we now know kinda. It's too damn cold right now. Maybe on a warm day I check but I'm sure REDZMAN is right.

Yeah, that's what mine was too. I measured it when I swapped it for the "Oz-Flow" 62mm BBTB. Nearly a 10mm increase in bore! cool.gif

I“d like to do this, bored the TB till 58, but from which car“s TB could I use to cut it to 58mm??

There“s nothig bad efect on this?, I saw someone says about the idle, but how can be affected with bored the TB?
