Default automatic vs manual throttle body??

hey guys i was just wandering, on my buddys 96 dodge neon, the 5 spd cars have a 48 mm throttle body, where as the automatics have a 52mm... so we went to a yard and swapped his 5spd TB for a AUTO TB...this honestly did make a difference on my buddys car. i was just wandering if this was the same way on our tibbys?? thanks for the info!

That's pretty cool. I wonder. He would definitely see gains as there is a 4mm difference. You'd have to find one for REAL cheap though. I wouldn't pay too much money for 4mm. I'd rather spend a little more for a 58 or 60mm TB instead. Cool idea though.

That's very interesting. Maybe it was done to make up the power difference between the auto and manual..

So basically we're looking for someone who:
(1) has an automatic
(2) has a tape measure
(3) has the time to measure their TB

Maybe TC can help us out one this one.

No automatic TBs here. Id have to ask fixation from HP.com cause he's got the TB from the black tib, which was auto. But I doubt he measured it.
