adjustable cam sprockets
QUOTE (mb1604)
no dyno picture.... so i should just get the exhaust one then?
what dyno picture? (Do you mean that you dont have a dyno in your area? ), or do you mean that you can't see my dynos that i posted on this thread?
and what exhaust one ? do you mean installing the kspec cam gear under the valve cover only on the exhaust cam ?
or do you mean installing the obx cam sprocket on the timing belt side like I did ?
sheesh.. please be a little more descriptive with your questions...
ya your dyno results werent showing but now they are, ya and i meant exhaust cam sprocket, the obx one, just get that one? and about how much are dyno tests?

the obx cam sprocket is directly attached to the exhaust cam, however the exhaust cam is coupled to the intake cam via a chain on the drivers side of the head beneath the valve cover..
so if you use the obx cam sprocket to tune your cams you are in fact adjusting the phase of both cams at the same time.
Good luck ! smile.gif

well there is one sprocket and udner the valve cover there is just the cams that are connected by chain
From what I remember, there is 1 that the timing belt is around, and then there is 1 for each cam under the valve cover.

how stable is the OBX sprocket? I habe heard some horror stories about cheap adjustables slipping.
the little bolts that it uses are no good. you should go to home depot and replace the original allen wrench socket bolts with new steel bolts ... total cost to replace the bolts ist about 1 dollar.
thats what I did.......

Thanks for clarifying what everyone else on this thread has already clarified.............
