BlizgaXx, that's the point of this post!! I'm telling you what gains it's giving me as I go along!
I don't mind if you ask questions, but PLEASE SEARCH, I don't want to be answering thoroughly discussed questions on here, this is just meant to be constans live updates.
If you want to get an ECU, get it from a 1998 Elantra.

alot of 97 ecu's are fine to use, you just have like a 50/50 chance of it being a rev A or not. but thats why you come equipped with the # on the ecu. smile.gif
also, the 1.8 tiburon ecu is the same way, your not limited to just elantra ecu's.

CarPart.com FTW!! There's 4 on there for less than $35, lowest is $24. I got mine for $15 on there plus $10 shipping, so there's plenty coming and going.
Search for 1998 Hyundai Elantra, Engine Computer, and go to about page 10 for the lowest price.
Fuel mileage from my fillup today was 423 miles, 12.6 gallons ~34mpg.

Yeah, my flat spot went away when Iinstalled mine, and my milage SHOT up.
And if I remember right, we said the 98 Elantra, because the REV A's were in 1996/97. If you get one from a 98ELantra, it can't be a Rev A.

^^ Sorry Zoned, I don't have any knowledge/expertise with the RevA stuff...
Power has gone up a little with the ECU, I can tell that for sure now smile.gif
I just got done installing the 1.8L camshaft. Wasn't too bad, had no problems with the install other than the fact I might need a new VC... It fired right up and ran just fine, no issues there. Took it out for a quick 5 minute spin to test things out. Didn't notice any change in the sound or really even in the power... Makes me kinda wonder, but it may take time for the ECU to reset fully and get the full potential out of it.
Will keep you posted. I am loving the new ECU!
Yeah, you're right on that Red Z, no 98 Elantra has Rev A stuff in it.
