This sounds like a great idea. Please correct me if I'm reading this wrong, but I checked on Webtech and it says that the battery needs to put out at least 420 cold cranking amps. I believe this smaller battery is only rated at about 300 cold cranking amps. Since I live in Colorado where it can get pretty cold, should this be a concern?

That's a neat size. You could easily install two in the stock location, one for cranking and the car's needs, and the other for ICE. I was ready to buy a blue top, but I think I'll look into this battery first.

might be a dumb question: will this meet all the necessary requirements needed for the car to run right?

It's a very dumb question. Read the thread, or search.

^^^ lmao.gif haha.gif Seems like someone should put at the top of every page SEARCH it saves everyones time.

My car is still running fine.

The reason for the install is for weight saving purposes, not for huge systems, I ran the tib with lights on and the stock stero all the way up with no problems

This is the first line lmao.gif

I just bought an Odyssey 680 battery for $68 shipped off ebay!!!! fing02.gif

To recap the differences:
I have an Optima Red Top 850cca, but its 41lbs with a dimension of 10x7x8.

The Odyssey only weights 14lbs, and has a dimension of 7x7x3.

Thats a weight savings of 27lbs for only $68!!!!!!!!1!!!!!1

Any kind of weight reduction that doesn't involve gutting the car like the Honda fags is awesome!!!! hail.gif

these batteries are great... if you like stinger batteries then check these out instead, they I do believe are the batteries stinger "resells" as their own. I have had one ever since my optima crapped on me, and have not had any problems whatsoever with my car, or my audio system.
