Diy Making Your Engine Look Better Than Factory
I have a beta junkyard motor
SOS and orange cleaner worked the best, but the block looks worse than your Before pic AFTER I cleaned it .. (LOL, shoulda seen my before). I didn't scrub too hard with SOS because I didn't want to scratch the piss outta anything.
I will try sanding it.

I just use Simple Green. I don't even need to scrub it and it'll take off most junk. It polished my head nicely. ugh.gif
I got ya'll beat... for the metal stuff, you can use some brake parts cleaner, if yo usue the extension tip thingy it get some good pressure and you can blast mst of the gunk, just make sure there's nothing importnant below it. It will stain pavement, and kill any plants. DO NOT GET ANY ON THE PAINT!
