What a good antivirus program to use thats free other than AVG?

My brother uses NoScript for firefox. It blocks malware and only allows it to run when you tell it to. I think this is an effective way to close the hole that microsoft left open on Windows. The NoScript can be "allowed" when you go to a trusted site.

Recent studies say that from any trusted page on the internet, you are 2 clicks away from malware. eg. CNN.com>devious advertisement>malware. Just putting that out there. It's not something which you can always tell is a questionable website.

I don't even see advertisements to click on. ABP on FF, FTW. Besides, even if I did see an advertisement, I still wouldn't click it. That's not how I shop. I know what I want and where to get it. Like I said... been on the interwebs since the days of Prodigy and basic BBS's. Never, not once, have I had a Virus. I only open emails from people I know, I never click on attachments unless it's from someone I know and I know that they sent it. Has nothing to do with computers, but I also don't answer the phone if I don't know the number.
