It sounds like an experience problem to me. When i was up in montana, i was having a blast taking 90degree turns.... Just start early and know which direction to be facing when you remove your e-brake.

Seriously, the tib handles better then 70% of cars out there. It's lightweight, and it has a good suspension system. Those two together make for good handling in the winter. I don't have ABS on my vehical. You just need to know how to move correctly in winter time.

Tiburons handle like the blade of an ice skate in the snow, IE if there is a cut path in the road youre following it, and there might aswell be no steering wheel.

My tib has found this out TWICE in the time it has been in my family..

My cousin was driving home from work when he owned it and the dude in front of him braked hard (4wd truck) so Brian (my cousin) braked semi hard and ended up getting into the rut the plow had made, slamming him into the pile of snow and bending a drive shaft and creasing the fender to the point the door wouldnt open. (I have still to finish the paint on that fender, I repaired it for him..)

Then last xmas it was around early Jan and work rebuttaled the crap out of me until I finally went into work in the snow (note to self, never EVER fall for the crap that comes out of a salesman's mouth) and I spun it a full 360' when trying to steer and turn over one of them small piles that builds up around the tire tracks in the road.

Final note to self? 3rd time will be REALLY bad, so no drive timmah in the snow, next time I shall tell work to f*** themselves.

Handle well? youre mad mang.

The suspension in a tib is ROCK HARD, totally and utterly WRONG for driving in the snow or offroad.

A worse car for snow driving there is not (yoda style)

1st-build up some upper body strength

2nd-Too close and too fast. if he had to slam on his breaks, he was too close to the other car for the conditions and If he was going fast enough to cause that much damage, he was going too fast for the conditions

agreed. i put my old tib in the ditch and that was my first winter driving. since then i havent had any problems with the tib or any other car. even with low profile tires. i will slide a bit but i can control it. i practice in parking lots though with the hand brake and sliding.

Sorry guys, but you are plain wrong about the snow and off road driving.

I've driven mine on both, no problems at all, because I know how to drive in them.

The end to this conversation is the following.

The RD series Tiburons were also rally cars. They won the Pikes Peak challenge for what, 8 years straight in their class?

The experienced driving members here say they have no issues. It's hard to suck it up and say that you don't have all the driving skills you need, but it's fact for some folks.
