I see NO harm in what you were doing man...I do the same thing... Sometimes the you get a disgruntled cop and this is what happens. I see no harm in it, you went about it the right way being late at night in an empty lot...No worries man its all good. I think people just ned to relax just a little....

Simple.

Buy some land and pave your own parking lot. Then you can do whatever the hell you want.

He could easily have called the owners of the building and they could've pressed charges if they wanted.

listen guys im not saying that even though it was illegal that it makes him a bad person or irresponsible for doing it. ive done it too, and still would prolly do it. it is a great way to find the limitations of your car in snow or ice and to be able to avoid accidents with those conditions.

but fact is you were trespassing, driving recklessly, and already have 10 points on your license. 10 points means the person has f-ed up before and the potential for doing it again is greater. you should have had your license taken away.

there have been plenty of people that while doing the same thing you do end up running into a parked shipping container/building/ something else.

well i would love to buy my own parking lot to play in but seeing as how i can barely afford all the extra money i put in my car i dont see how buying my own car playground is do-able

and anyone who is sliding into lights or shipping containers prolly shouldnt be driving their car. thats like saying anyone one of you guys would be unskilled enough to lose control of your car in a closed area. that sounds like a child who cant control their own icecream cone.

i've been sliding my cars every winter seince i can remeber. i think i can handle not sliding it in to a building, or light, or little kid.

I don't see any problem with it as long as it's in that kind of parking lot. Alot of cops in this area don't care about things like that. Actually, the last time time I did something like that I was in this huge mall parking lot going from lot to lot just messing around and I came across a cop doing the same thing. At first I stopped and so did he. Then he drove up to me said be careful and not to stay out there too much longer. That was probably the only time a cop has let me black ass go. tongue.gif

^ um i'm sure somebody's gonna say something about any kinda "ethnic" comment, good or bad. it's seemed to be a problem lately.

i know you were "better off" doing so at night, but i remember (before i was driving) i skated all the time, at all hours, usually behind closed stores (loading docks & what not)-... i know that it was snowing out but still, there's a possiblity of someone always being back there.

id rather know how my car will act by sliding in a parking lot than have no idea and be sliding on the road and not be able to control it. im a good driver. i dont drive recklessly or really speed that much. ive avoided a few accidents because i was quick to think and react. im not saying that its smart to drive all ove trying to slide but i think everyone should have an idea on how their car will act in that situation

Well sure, thats why they have classes for it that are pretty cheap.

This is the same thought that street racers have for racing down abandoned streets. Those same street racers have killed people they didn't think would be there.
