the "pin" on the camshaft itself isn't magnetized, it's plain steel
the cam sensor is the magnet/sensor

My bad luck is getting on my nerves. Im not going to the show on my bday so for me everything ive done is such a waste.

nah sensor has the magnetic part built in,
the cam "nipple" is plain old steel
