^^ Ye, just not under warranty. They only care about money.

Just get a daily driver. When you turbocharge something thats not meant to be, your going to have these problems. Every car thats starts pushing more horsepower than what its designed for runs into these problems.

Hell, my GSX is in about five hundred pieces atm. Thats why I bought the Tib, so I could have something to daily drive.

Oh trust me Pat, Ive been considering swapping this engine for a while now just for a fresh start..

Redz, I didnt know you could take these cars down to Hyundai with mods done. but itll cost a lot..

I really dont want to give my car away. My dad is telling me to get rid of it as soon as it gets fixed and get a different car..eh i dont know if he knows what history is behind my car, he just knows how upset I get when its not working and I guess doesnt want to see that anymore..but its all easier said then done. My dad has told me from the beginning not to turbocharge the car because ill go through a lot of crap..hes done it before and seen what can happen..but still its hard not to do it when your able to.

Like RedZ said in the other thread, undo everything that was done after the idle-air control actuator wiring extension.

Put the actuator back to where it was, with the original wiring, & just sort out that pinched hose issue. It would seem a lot of the work that Alex did was unnecessary.

the reason for having a tib though is because it's something else. everybody has hard times with their cars. just hold on for a bit longer and hope it pays off in the end.

Meh, I was about to do the same thing the other day, for the exact same reasons. The area behind my IM is very crowded... got the idle air hose, some hose coming out of the firewall, a capped off nipple, and the throttle cables, all in one spot. Factor in the coolant lines off the TB and some other hoses, and thats a very crowded place.

I myself think I have a small vacuum leak back there cause the idle air hose is pushing my vacuum lines around back there... I get this mini turbo vacuum leak sound whenever I hit like 50% throttle lol.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (hamhead)</div><div class='quotemain'>Aren't you having a CEL related to your second O2 sensor as well? If Alex did that too maybe he needs a lil practice on wire extensions, no insult intended.</div>

No she has a CEL for her second 02 sensor because its not there, as in not on the car. And i know how to extend wires, i extended my o2 sensor wires, mine and her's MAF sensor wires, mine and her's IAT sensor wires, My friend's mustang 02 sensor wires, battery relocation (one hell of an extension), and many other wiring extensions without one hiccup of a problem.

NO the problem is not her idle air wires, because i un-extended them (even though the wiring was fine because it idled like a champ) yesterday and it did not help.

But i think i might have found the problem

When i was checking the timing to make sure it hadnt jumped a tooth i noticed a little gunk on her camshaft magnet, i rubbed it off and the car ran a little better. I pushed the gas and it accelerated pretty good. Not super fast like if you stomped my pedal on my tib, but pretty fast. But after 2-3 minutes it began running shitty again.

Which made me think, nothing ive touched or done so far in the process of trying to rid myself of that damn P0343 has made one bit of progress, but i cleaned the magnet on the camshaft and it ran 50% better, Ive changed everything involved in the whole system that P0343 runs off except the camshaft.

here is how the path of the CMP (camshaft position sensor) goes

<strike>ECU</strike>, <strike>Wires</strike>, <strike>harness</strike>, <strike>sensor</strike>, camshaft

ive replaced everything that is crossed out.

Also brian aka, GOD, said the magnet could have gone bad

Im thinking the magnet somehow got weakened and is barely being sensed by the sensor, even though everything is in working order

For people who didnt read my other post i checked the voltage reading across the two non-grounding sensor wires on her car and compared it with my car, and they were nearly identical both cars read in between 8-9volts, so electrically her car seems to be in order.

Tomarrow im going to call the dealer and see how long it would take to get a camshaft, if they cant get it to me ASAP ima go to a pick and pull or a junkyard or something.

I kept selina in the dark about this because i didnt want to get her hopes up like i did about the timing. Ill keep everyone updated.

You can take any car anywhere, after the warranty expires, you still can get work done.

I don't remember seeing you say it anywhere, but did you remove the head?

Ah hah. Now we are getting somewhere.

Were the cams removed or fooled with at all?

There's a magnetized PIN in the non sprocket end of the cam. The Cam Position Sensor detects the magnet passing by and that's how it works to double check the timing and such (roughly translated). If any of the tools being used around or near there were MAGNETIZED, you could easily have lost the proper magnetization on that cam pin.
