You have to be kidding me, that is by far the stupidest thing I ever heard regarding tickets. That should be a easy dismissal in court.

I go on Tuesday night at 5:00 since I ended up receiving a letter in the mail back on June 7th saying the court date was postponed.

 

oh an on a paint note your not aloud to have 2 tone black and white.

at least in my district, i had a chevy lumina that had the doors replaced to do a power window swap from a black car.

had two black doors on a white car and got pulled over.

 

Tonights the night! Not looking forward to it since I'll probably be sitting there for awhile as they do all the criminals and people with attorneys first. Uggg....gonna be bored out of my mind, just to go up to the judge and tell him its bullshit that I'm there (not literally).

 

Show up prepared, be civil, but express how much a waste of your time it is and how you're going to file a complaint. The judge may have a few words to say to him too.

 

do you have some bad pictures of your car that you can take with you? Pictures taken on a cloudy day that make it look more dull? It's a judgement call, though a bad one, so I would ask to see the law you violated. Tell him you're a professional, a Vice President of your company, and you do bodywork and painting as a hobby and were unaware of any laws related to "bright paint" and you would like to be knowledgeable about this particular law.

 

Im fully prepared, and actually dressed up in a suit today (had a meeting earlier so Im dressed for that...not court). But I have all the dealer paperwork and brochures that shows its a stock color, with pics. Im not gonna tell them that Pearl was added to the paint, but by the pics that Im taking will show it as one color and not changing shades in the sunlight.

Its a really lame ticket and if the judge finds me guilty for driving a car with a STOCK colored paint job....then I'll lose all hope for the court and judicial system.

 

if that happens then i'd like to know what kind of degree is required to be sitting up there.
