I had the SR BBK. That was XG350 Calipers and Korean made slotted and dimpled rotors.

The setup did NOT work with the 14" Steelies. No clearance.
The setup DID work with teh 15" alloys. Plenty of clearance.
They were quite a bit heavier than the stock setup. I'll have to dig around to see if I can find the weight #'s.

Let me share some insight since I did this over a year ago. RD1 guys are fine with stock wheels. However, RD2(US spec) guys won't be able get their stock wheels to fit. The RD2 rims curve in too much(2-3mm). Pick up some 16s or 17s if you're an RD2 owner. Have fun, it's a nice cheap upgrade.

I have had the XG350 BBK for about 3 years now from SR and as Random mentioned the Minimum Rim size is 15inch and larger with this BBK installed..
Its defently worth every penny as i noticed a HUGE difference in Brake STOPPING..
This kit will fit all 1997-2002 Tiburons without any issues,BUT if you have CAPTIVE rototrs (like i did) then you need the Hub to convert to non captive
Hope this helps! laugh.gif

ok guys, i was doing some further research on this and i dont think using the xg350 dual piston caliper is an option for us anymore. checking around on webtech i noticed that the xg rotors are 276mm. the sonata rotors are the same size as the tib rotors, at 280mm. i thought it might have been a messup on webtech, but then i looked some on newtib.com, and found that some people were having rubbing issues using xg calipers with their stock rotors.

When I went to dealer, I noticed pads for XG350 and there was a label with a price stated that this pads will fit: XG, Santa Fe, H-100, Galloper.

Do that models have same 2-pistons calipers that could fit our Tibs?

Now that I know it will fit, this will be the last piece of important info I'd like to know
