Now, I just talked to APE and he said that they test fitted the kit on their Elantra and it's exactly the same, and will work on the 1st/2nd gen Tibs. They have a turbo elantra that runs 13.0@120mph and he says it works great. (see below for more info on that) They also said that the shifter bushings are the same. They are for the linkage.
I told him that I would be putting this here for you guys. He said that they MUST have all your information when ordering and to either mention NewTiburon or RDTiburon with your user name!!! They also need your email and phone # so that they can contact you.
So call them first to place the order, then email them ALL your info.
The price is $140 for the kit and shifter bushings, plus $15 for shipping (UPS ground approx. 5 days). Or you can delete the shifter bushings and get free shipping. However, the bushings cost $36 regularly, so you get a better deal by including them!

Off topic: He said that they are switching to the Auto tranny in their Elantra because their 5 speed wouldnt allow them to shift at higher HP levels. When I switched to the new Elantra tranny, I think I know what they are talking about. I'm having a little difficulty shifting 1-2 shifts quickly. I told them I wasn't having this problem with the earlier tranny, so it might be something to do with the newer ones only.

MMMmmmm, sounds very interesting...

Any info. on where these things need to be mounted and whether or not they will hang down from underneath the car (my car is lowered about 4 inches - Ksport coilovers rock!)?

It's always cool to find another site out there making parts for hyundai's.

Thanks Jon. smile.gif

The two elantra trannies i had both had similar problems on the 1-2 shift..

I always figured it was the lenght of the shifter cables.

Glad to see its not a "jaws021" specific problem.

Im going to dig up pics of this... Im 75% in.
