Well, Duplicolor only makes one shade of each color. Their gunmetal color is called graphite. Socks used it a bit on his car, as did I with my old rims and many of the exterior plastic pieces. I'll see if I can dig up a pic so you can get an idea of what it looks like.

0000 steel wool and sand paper is a good way too.
