I'm not sure on the weight since I've heard conflicting answers all around. I'll weigh them tomorrow or saturday before they go on the car. If I had to guess they are right around 18lbs.

After, tax, lugnuts and locks the total was 700. I could have saved about 150+ if I got them online but I've NEEDED rims (riding on damaged stockers) for about 2 months and the extra money is worth having no hassle of waiting.

quick update: They are on. Look great!

The ride isn't harsh at all. I'm getting a very little bit of tire rub over big bumps but I should work that out with my mechanic this week (just going to bang out the fenders a bit...no way am I rolling them). The tires are spectacular in the rain and dry stuff, definitely recommend them for anyone looking for some great tires at a great price.

Pictures will come as soon as I can get a good pic/nice weather.

Thanks for everyone's help btw.

for those that don't feel like reading through the thread to find out what rims/tires I went with here ya go:

Stock 2001 Tiburon
Kyowa Racing KR210 Black 17x7
General Tire Exclaim UHP 215/45/17

the tire could also be rubbing against the strut body. i would check that before banging on anything, especially if you arent lowered. non-lowered cars and 17s tend to have huge wheel gap, so there should be plenty of clearance there. you will need spacers if they are rubbing the strut body, or some nice slim coilovers. wink1.gif

Just got back from my mechanic and then a local speed shop...basically the tires don't look like they are touching the struts at all, just the 45 sidewall was a little bit much for the bigger bumps and is rubbing the fender when I hit em.

So I'm keeping it as is. They don't rub on acceleration, turns, most big potholes, only on fast bumps in the road...and as long as it's ok to drive on, I'm gonna stick with it.

To those guys wondering how much they weigh: 20lbs exactly, put them on a scale the other day.

btw, I know, I know pics...ASAP, just the car is dirty and I have no digital camera. wiggle.gif
