^ I can get them with new Nankangs for $900AUD.

For 17s, tyres, lock-nuts, fitting & balancing... That's as cheap as it gets over here.

HyundaiKitCoupe, good info man. You have 215 wide tires mounted on those rims? How do they fit, I'd like to go as wide as possible but ofcourse want no rubbing the fender wells or struts at all.

BTW, how much do those rims weigh, I haven't come across a site with detailed information on them yet.

edit: oh and about ordering from rim stores, the only reason I went there was because discounttire.com was out of stock and I need these rims ASAP (these stockers are dead), they seemed like nice guys and knocked off a good amount of money. Still would have been about 100 bucks more than discount tire but when you need something bad the extra cash is worth it.

Kepp those suggestions coming! I'm sure there's others out there like me.

Another thing dude, I was looking around some rims sites and I don't think they make the Kyowa's with a 4 bolt pattern.

What did you do?

The 42 offset was cool too?

Update on the situation:

Found a distributor here in NYC that has 1 set of black Kyowa KR210 in 17x7 4-114.3 42 offset left.

Total without tires (they are working on that) is 650. Not bad considering I don't have to pay shipping and I should get them installed this week, I know I could save some cash by ordering from a website but I need these ASAP and the extra cash is worth the no-hassle. HOPEFULLY nothing falls through this time!

in short: woohoo!

You live in NYC huh? if you don't get out much (i hope you dron't drive on cruddy roads) then i'd say go with the 17's. since you get a lot of snow i'll bet you don't have to drive that much if there's like 3 feet of snow packed and the city shuts down.

if your car does take quite a beating like it sounds, i'd go with 16's. the problem i have with 16's is they don't look appealing enough to be sexy.

also, since you live in NYC get some sport winter tires to go on there. all-seasons aren't as great as they seem and you can drive on winter tires all season.

i have 4 practically new Nankang 17' 205's for sale but with your situation with 215's, 215/40/17 is the BEST way to go. It's SUCH a huge improvement over the 205's because the tire doesn't feel like a rock and your 17's will not get road rash. I'm glad you like the Kyowas and found a distributor!!! Believe me when I say my car has been to hell and back on these rims and they're well worth the money. no bends at all except the one leak when i totally smashed the rim into one toilet of a pothole in a bad county. if these rims arrive, you'll love the quality from first sight and you'll love that awsome silver polished lip behind the spokes. i haven't seen any other rim as appealing as this so far. to my understanding they weigh 17 pounds. that's what was stated when i bought them. but i see them for 21 pounds each. if they are 21 each, they're still pretty light, and you don't want a rim so light that it cracks from a hit.

good luck man, i'm still as happy and still get as many looks at the car now from when i first put the rims on. keep us updated.

$650 isn't the best price for that shit though, probably a rim store who demand high prices. i bought all four, balanced, shipped, and with tires for $800 online. Tires were super, but I needed the 215's and no you won't get any any rubbing with 205/40/17's against any fender or suspension.

Thanks for the help man.

Even though our roads are rough around here I'm going with the 17's I'll just be extra careful...no big deal.

The all-seasons I'm going with are General Tire Exclaim UHP, I've heard nothing but good things from them so I'm not too worried on that end, a couple of my buddies with GTO's have them and they are their daily drivers...so my little Tib should be just fine. Btw, I'm going to get 215/45 on the tire laugh.gif should be a nice bump up from the 195 on there now.

650 does suck compared to other places selling them but the fact of the matter is I need them ASAP as I can't take the hassle/annoyance/dangers of filling up 2x a week on this messed up stocker rim. So paying a little more to not wait the extra 2 weeks is fine with me.

I'll try to post some pics when I get em on fing02.gif

Is your car lowered? If it is, those tyres will be too big & will rub... They'll be a good inch & a half bigger (in height) over stock.

A 215/40-17 tire would be a safer bet, I reckon.

Car is completely stock, stock ride height and all. I'm fairly certain that 215/45/17 will fit under there no problem. I don't want to risk going thinner than that.
