Sorry to drag up an older thread, im just about to get hold of this upgrade for the brakes, i was just wondering if you need the uprated brake lines, and if so, why? (stupid question i know, but im ignorant with this so plesae help me out) cool.gif

i dont think you would have to upgrade brake lines. i had already had the ss brake lines when i did my xg350 brake swap.

nope you don't...but it does not hurt to do it well you are swaping calipers

Well, I checked rotorpros and the dont have any 05 spectra rotors, anyone have suggestions for someone else with a good product?

 

The one's I've posted about and recommended several times. Doesn't have to be 05 spectra either.

I need to get my DIY up with all of the pictures.

Actually, KFX can get the rotors you need from the same folks I got mine from.

 

i'm planing on doing a brake overhaul and thought about doing this. BUT doing my research i found that the Kia Spectra rotors are way smaller than the XG350's.

Kia Spectra front rotors are 10.825"

Hyundai XG350 front rotors are 11.93"

that's over 1" of difference! i guess i can redrill the XG ones. pretty much the same thing that SFR do....
