Except the problem of bolt pattern (that can be solved by redrilling the rotors), did someone try to install rotors for XG350 with calipers for XG 350 on a tiburon FX ? because I saw that the hub reg on a tiburon is 69mm, and the hub reg for XG 350 is 68,7mm...

The 12" are what I have on mine, it's the same process described above except its the 2005 XG only best I can tell.

The rotors from the 05 XG fit over the tib hubs perfectly, just require a re-drill for 4 bolt which is really easy if you have access to a drill press. (big shout out to faithofadragon for help on that ) The calipers are a direct bolt, one thing I will recommend is an aftermarket the brake line. The stock brake line is a very VERY tight fit between the strut mount and the caliper. Also I can confirm with 100% certainty that this WILL NOT work with the stock wheels. 16's might even be a tight fit, and you'll need to consider what to do about a spare since the stocker is no longer an option either. Also, if you cheap out on pads you're going to hate life, get some EBCs and do it right.

The 11" rotors from the previous XGs work directly using the spectra rotors recommended. If you want a BBK that's a fine swap as well and circumvents most of the above headaches

to get around the spare issue, if you get a flat in the front, move one of the rear to the front and install the spare on the rear.

you should do it that way anyways since the front is the drive axle

I have done the BBK with the Spectra rotors and it fits fine with 16" wheels. Figured I'd chime in on that one.

yeah well, I DESIGNED the spectra bbk and can tell you itll fit under 15" tiburon FX wheels

i know this because thats what I have on my elantra

the guy was asking about the 12" setup which i KNOW wont fit under the 15s and i HIGHLY DOUBT itll fit 16s

in all honesty, if you are looking for massive stopping power the 11" setup is PLENTY. the 12" is what you would go for if you wanted looks pretty much

and if you are goin for looks, id look into a less ugly caliper like the aluminum gk ones

form follows function

Agreed

A friend of mine has a GK with Hyundai embossed on the calipers. Very nice for what they are and I'm kind of jelly. If I had to do it again that would probably be the set I'd go after, either that or I'd just jump strait into the Brembo 4pots from the GC at 2-3x cost.

The 12" has been good, but really wasn't worth the hassle. As you know well since I was bugging you damn near every day

Also those 05 calipers seem a lot more proprietary than the prev models. It took a lot of work to find a fitting rebuild kit.

My advice:

Just stick with the 11s.

thanks guy! I read the answers now, didn't check yesterday...and my mechanic was waiting after me for decision...so I ordered the rotors from XG350 (303mm diameter!) and will make them redrilled for correct bolt pattern...I will let you know with pictures. I saved that 15" wheels won't fit, mine are actually 18", so no problem.

Good luck! Make certain you swap those brakes line, and see if you can get the dust covers from the XG or grind the lip off the Tibs stocker (which will prove a dirty dusty hell of a situation.) The 303mm rotors are about .25" larger than the Tib dust covers and will grind like a bastard otherwise. I really hope your mechanic knows what he's getting into and more importantly you have the pockets to support it.

I already bought and installed the upgraded brake lines ; for rotors: my mechanic told me he will get off dust cover that is too small for bigger rotors, and there won't be any problem with that.
