My Front Strut Bar
Ok just down the garage repairs are coming along nicely! smile.gif
They both fit and line up with the bolts but...
The 3 holed one seems like it might have a clearance issue with the pass side there is something boled there and the the bracket looks like it will hit.
Maybe thats why there is only a 2 hole design for the 2000 because of that.
The 3 hole should work if you shave the bracket down some but I didnt try bolting it on just set it there to make sure the holes lined up with the bolts.

I bet that for at least some people they will occasionally get conctact between the intake manin and the bar, especially when goosing the engine in reverse (which makes the rear of the engine rise up).
I have the Kia Spectra strut bar on my XD2, but due to hood clearance issues I had to mount it under the brackets instead of on top, which ends up decreasing clearance to the engine. If I'm not careful when backing up, I hear the bar hitting the engine.

Kustomizedtiburon has this bar. It rubs his hood. Transferred the paint from the hood to his new bar on the driver's side near the center of the bar. It's only in a small place. I'm sure something can be worked so it does not do that.

try twisting the ends inwords so that it just bearly clears the end of the strut bolts. That should provide a bit more clearance when the chassis flexes and prevent the bar from rubbing the hood. All metal will flex, just try to give it enough room so that it dosn't flex into your hood.
I also got an ebay strut bar for christmas from my cousin and I guess he got it for under 40 dollars. Im going to spray paint mine when it gets a little warmer and ill take some pictures and let you guys know how it worked out smile.gif
