I think it was just a tolerance problem on my car... I had the pistons ALL the way down.. even cracked the bleeder to do it... We will see when I redo my brakes next week.. new pads, slotted rotors, braided lines, DOT4 fluid.. should be sweet feeling.

I've been running the Axxis Ultimate (front) and Metal Masters (rear) for about 20k+ miles on stock rotors and they have not warped or worn down the rotors yet. But like skierd said the brake dust from the ultimates even tho there isn't alot of it is not too friendly to get off. Hopefully it will be different with drilled/slotted rotors tho!

Default Adrianna Lima anyone?

well, after getting my brakes done, I now know what my problem with the greenstuff was... packaging. With talking to people and looking at my pads, each wheel was supposed to get two different pads. One with a slot down the middle and one without. The one with the slot is slightly thicker than the other.

In looking at the pads I took off of my car. On the wheel where the brakes dragged and warped the rotor... I had to two slotted pads. The other side had only one. I can only guess that when they packed them up for shipping, they goofed and sent me three slotted pads and only one plain.. with the two thicker pads on one side, it was just not enough clearance to allow the rotor to turn properly.

problem solved!

Good to hear you got it all worked out. I think you made out (besides for the cost of the pads). Atleist it wasnt a bad brake caliper (if you look on the bright side wink.gif)
