btw, where is colonial heights? Richmond area?
Kind of, it's 19 miles south of Richmond smack in the middle of I-95 right above Petersburg 10-15 miles south-west of Hopewell.

If you've ever heard of the Tri-cities area, colonial Heights is one of the three (p-burg and then hopewell).

For the fronts, SR sells the brake kit with the parts to do the captive to non-captive conversion, or just steal the hub assembly off a 1999+ tibby/elantra.
This may be my next mod. smile.gif

i really wanna get the big brake upgrade for the front but having drums in the back sucks. i dont want big brakes up front and drums in back. just seems like to much trouble to change the drums.

Long, you should be able to get the rear disc/hub assembly off a any tibby and just bolt them on to your car. If you get junkyard parts, it shouldn't run you more thatn $200.

Random,
does the rear assembly (disc/hub) go on the same axel/spindle? Or would I need that part as well.

That's primarily why I've been looking at the whole suspension, because I have been worried that I need the spindle as well as the hub, disc, and calipers.

That and will the emergency brake cable from a rear drum setup work on the rear disc setup?

you don't need the axle/spindle. Those are the same. You just need the hub/bearings, rotor, etc..etc.

You can go with a whole new parking brake cable, but you don't need too. You only need the adapter/bracket on the end of the cable.
