ok pop your tie rods that connect to the power sterring rack. hold them up and then drop them now if they drop your "steering rods" are shot now the steering rods connect to the power steering rack and thenin turn connect to the tie rods.... i am thinking that is the problem them steering rods should be tight and not loose

also after you get and aliment tap weld your strut bolts to your shock.... sounds crazy i know

you need only about --- that much ... so when the next time you do need to take them off , all you need to do is get a flat blad screw driver and hammer and give it a light hit with the hammer and it will pop loose...

now i have done this to my car this is not bs it works, and is redoable and will not f*** anything up

If the steering rods are shot, how easy is it to replace them?

I have access to a junked tiburon, so if its just a quick switch then off to the alligment shop i rather do it.

Ill check this weekend and see what i find. I will also pop the tie rods and see if the steering rods are shot.

got under the car today and mainly cleaned up the steering/suspension.

I think it might be the ball joint, since the car has 130K... After comparing it to the drivers side ball joint, it just doesnt look as "healthy."

My drivers side a-arm assembly was replaced a year ago from a 2001 tib, so that side is in good condition. I might just pick the other arm up from the junkyard and replace it anyways.

Next weekend, ill raise the car and check every bolt/bushing/mount while i have the car gutted.

One thing i did notice last night... the steering "shifting" happens when driving aggresively in a straight line as well now.

The car continues to go straight, but the steering wheel slightly shifts.

I also notice something even worse then my current problem, which ill post pics in a bit.

^ Then the problem is everything to do with the steering rack & nothing to do with your ball-joints.
