Base RSX = slow... they're only 160hp, although granted they are light. They make no power down low, or even midrange. If he didn't downshift enough to get near the powerband, or didn't keep it in the powerband in a shift, then shazaa he gets dusted.

I still dont see this happening vs a auto tib... these things are SLOW... even with mods...

Maybe on a rare case that the RSX driver doesnt know wtf he was doing/cant drive/was asleep

Remember guys, we don't condone illegal racing on this site. If you're gonna post about your races, remember it has to be done on a closed track/course.

A TypeS does around a 15.1 in the quarter and a RD typically does around a 16.2 to 16.3 with a 5 speed (an auto is slower). Maybe the other guy couldn't drive, but car on car, the RSX enjoys a great advantage. I'll let you guys draw your own conclusions.

Stock RSX=160HP/RSX Type S=200HP..both numbers coming out of 4cylinders. I have been in Tiburons and RSXs..I have driven both/raced both. The stock RSX would beat the Tiburon. The RSX type S would OWN a Tiburon.

ok. I just want to make clear one thing, i never said I beat a RSX, i just wonder about the times and how fast are these cars.

well, my only defense its that the auto tiburons has a lot of better acceleration in roll on than a manual. a lot of people can know that, but this is not an excuse to say that I beat an RSX because I didnt.

I know that the driver and the low power band made the difference between us.

So.. this was not street racing, its just was a short acceleration. I not support the street racing.

Why I do not street race nor do I condone it. I will admit to once "playing" with an RSX coming out of the tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway. I should more say he was playing with me. We came out together and I got on my Tib hard as I enjoy hearing the CAI scream and I wanted to clear some traffic so I could settle down to a nice steady 70mph without getting stuck behind slower traffic.
The RSX heard my intake and jumped on it.. and we more or less stayed together until I let off and hit the Cruise control at 70.. at that point he took off and I never saw him again. LIke above, I do not know what model RSX it was.. or even if it was a stick, but I bet it surprised him not to be able to take me right away.

You know, that could be another point.. is the RSX availible as an AUTO? With the lack of torque most honda engines have (in comparison to their horsepower) an auto rsx would probably not be much or any more quick than an auto tib.
