Dont know if this topic has to be here.

I dont know........... if the person that went in the RSX didn't want to give everything,..........

But what you people think about how much fast is the RSX the Type S and the RSX only.

I raced with an RSX (in a closed course[mod edit]) and I didnt see the power I thought that this car supposed to had.

I accelerated in front of him, and I heard that He also accelerated behind me, and he never catch me, he try to catch me for the right side but I DONT KNOW if he couldnt do it beacuse a car, or the driver was not enough for the car.

But in a corner I left him like he was stoped, I left behind me like 50mts.

So I want to know if someone has try to race somewhere with one of these cars. and what was the result.

I just dont get it.

my car is auto and others car with 1.6 engine accelerate as my car from stop. even with mu auto tranny.

what do you think or say?

he probably was. rsx's are quick cars man. i dont think he was pushing the car. stock, the rsx would whoop you.

RSX's are difficult to drive well and keep within its powerband... much like the newer Celicas. Base RSXs really aren't that fast to begin with, and with an idiot driver behind the wheel and the Tib having a jump acceleration-wsie I can see a Tib keeping ahead of it.

Hell, I had fun with an older guy in a 2004 V8 Mustang today in the Tib (Closed track? Maybe wink1.gif ) and he only pulled 3 carlengths on me and we did two runs. The person behind the wheel is almost as important as the car itself.

He must not have been racing you then...

A stock type S would own a tib w/decent mods.

Yes he actually was racing .... I heard when he wanted to pass me, but he couldnt.

Whats your mods? Unless you have a serious setup in that auto of yours, I call bull shit

01tibby 04-17-2005 05:48 PM

he said it might not have been an rsx.

sharkev 04-17-2005 05:49 PM

I dont have a major setup, i only have basically mods. I am not trying to impressed everyone here.

I just want to know how fast are this RSX.

I know that circumstances was the factor. or the driver laugh.gif

it was an RSX but i´m not sure about the type S or not. but it really was. smile.gif

Base RSX's are slow, especially if not started at the proper RPM for racing and if not properly kept in the powerband through lifting. There are a lot of differences between drivers of these cars... for some, they are deathly fast stock, for other drivers, they might as well be driving a SOHC Civic.

MK3Design 04-17-2005 06:05 PM

THey run mid 14's stock

The base model is a difference....

But I dont know where you came up w/ them being slow. There still way quicker than a RD any day.
