Chrysler 2.5 Engine Problems
Thought of that. It's 1,3,4,2. Even tried swapping the plug wires around just in case. On a v-6 or v-8 MAYBE you could get away with a couple plugs being off and running like crap, but I don't imagine a 4 would run at all if something was off. It runs really smooth for a while, as if nothing is wrong. Miss-firing seems random, but is prone to higher RPMs (highway driving) and can be more prevalent on a cold engine rather than after it has been running a while. However, starting seems better on a cold engine, as later in the day it likes to not start. Plus the engine totally dying while driving is a new element that just started today. Oh, and to boot this thing is a turbo, lol. It's seized up though. May be fun to swap it out for a bigger one. I can see it now, beating someone in an ugly ass minivan, lol.

I used to have a lebaron with the 2.5l engine in it. I had the same problem, and while I forget what the part is called, I can bet you it's the same problem. If you pull off your distributor cap, there's a black disc at the bottom with a wire going to it. Replace it. Problem solved. IIRC the part only costs around $30 or $40. I know cause my car was doing the same thing and I lost a job to that stupid little thing cause I couldn't get to work.
Well, I got the call back from Pepboys and they ran a diagnostic and couldn't find anything. They suggested what I suspected. The fuel pump could be going out. Electronically, they said it is fine.
