the install was a piece of cake. i didn't even need the DYI (except for the tools necessary).

it shifts so smooth, so quick. i'm lovin it. i thought, however, that it would sit further down in the shift boot...although it does sit LOW smile.gif

i used to have problems w/ getting it into reverse, but as of now (knock on wood) i don't have any issues at all w/ it.

side note: REDZ, let everyone know when your woman is doing the shift boots/ebrake boots. i'll get 'em in blue wink1.gif and post pics when you get yours w/ the new color

great GB. i was hoping for a KSpec sticker though, cuz i saw a ton of 'em in the picture, but all i got was an RSide one. oh well

and a pic i took yesterday that i find really pretty wink1.gif

Very nice mang, glad it all went well.

Yeah, I thought it sit shorter too but I do have an idea on that. Take out the lock nut on there and it should go down about another 1/2 inch. You'll just have to put some loctite on there or tighten the shaft down hard.

As for the boots, I just showed the wife all of the messages and she's gone nuts. Consider them done soon. LOL

EDIT!

Forgot about the Kspec stickers, there's only a few actually. I'll get some out to you when I can, but I got those sent for the local folks.

the only thing i dont like is that it hits and rubs the very left inside of the console when i shift to first, i think i might need to replace the boot after a few months, and im realizing how much i love the top arm of the oem shifter (how its curved to put the knob closer to the driver). other than that i like the shifter.

Default help with a question plz

Yeah, mine does that hitting in first as well. I figure I will just re-design the area when I re-design the console area. Also, I hit my knuckles when I shift into 1-3 when the cup holder is out. Eh, I may modify the shaft at the shop when I get time to take it out.

Yes, they are stock on the 2nd gens,
And before you ask,... yes they do fit the 1st gens, but will look wierd, because they sit like 1/2" higher than that 1st gen ones. And yes, you can also change your stereo bezel, but the 2nd gen one is flat faced, where the 1st gens is rounded. So it'd look weird.

Yes Java, you ass, I'll send you 2.

LOL

As for it hitting, I heard this from one person but dont' know what to do about it. MY console is still out so I have no issues yet. I do also think that's the ONE thing I don't like about the Rside Advanced, it sits a bit further away. That angle on the B&M and OEM is nice, but you can't do that on an adjustable shifter.
