AND THE KIT IS INSTALLED!!

Thanks so much Jay! I am really satisfied with the HID kit, i looks way sweet and gives alot of visibility, I LOVE IT.

For every one that hasnt yet baught an HID kit i recomend buying it from Jay, nothing agains other sellers but Jay treaded me so well, and gave me alot of information since the bigging (on the color and what would be best kit) to the end (on the instalation). I really recomend any one to buy the kit from Jay!! hail.gif

Well, here are some pics of my ride after the HID kit.

I installed it the common way, i also put the ballasts inside zipplock bags for better protection agains water, u cant really tell on the pics... maybe not good for shows but it keeps it protected. cool.gif

Damn they are bright and it's not even night yet!! These are the 6000K kit

Hey Jay,

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I had purchased the 9k 9600 bulbs from him and what an excellent experience.

everything is plug and play, the hardest part of the entire installation (which takes about 15-20 minutes) was drilling holes in the stock headlight bulb access ports, lol.

Great product!!!!

Everyone on RD should buy these things!!!

Thanks SOO much for all of your help Jay! You_Rock_Emoticon.gif

I would take pics, but my car is rather dirty since I just got the clutch and flywheel installed so.

And oh yeah, my install is SUPER clean. All I did was remove the parking lights, and installed the ballasts upside down (don't think that has any affect on them does it?) underneath the headlight housing (used the STICKY double stick pad that came for each ballast). Ran the wires up through a gap between the frame area and the headlight housing, SWEET! And if you are worried about water in that location, it just rained its ass off and it was dry soo. Not to mention the fact that it is MUCH cooler there than in the engine bay.

Just thought I would give some of you the tip.

Huh, mine don't look as bright as the ones in the pic above (the 9000k's). Maybe the camera makes them look brighter or somehting? Well, maybe they are, I haven't got a chance to drive with them on a pitch black road while it is dry out so.

I would love to have HIDs, but everything I've read suggests using them with projectors not designed for it will not put the light out properly thus causing a lot of glare and blinding other drivers. Most OEM HID setups auto level as well so you don't blind others on slight hills. And isn't 4000-5000k supposed to be the most visible?

I see hondas and other ricers that have HID kits, and they blind the hell out of everyone on the road, much worse than the blue/purple halogen bulbs. But everyone here seems happy. Can anyone comment on the amount of glare these have in a tib?

Jay-M, that is a great pic, and I know that shot was taken close to the ground, but that effect is precisely what I don't want.

Legality aside, I would love to get one of these kits, but don't want to piss off everyone else on the highway.

Well, the 5-6k's are what will blind the hell out of everyone on the road man. I got the 9k's and they aren't really too bad, although I haven't referenced my car from the rear veiw of someone elses. I didn't get flashed (hi-beamed) by anyone on the road last night at all so. And as long as you don't aim them too high, you will be fine.

Consider this not only as a show modification, but a safety one too. Last night it was raining it's ass off and I could see the road perfectly fine with the HID's. Normally even with the high beams on I can't hardly see the road. My visibility is MUCH better due to these, and the car looks so friggin hawt with them turned on! LOL.

My point is fonseca BUY THESE. You will not be disappointed with them, I would suggest getting the 9000 kelvin kit if you are interested in the well being of other drivers on the road though, that is partially why I got them, that and the blue/purple tinge that looks amazing!

Those are only a few of the cars that comes with oem HID or has an option for it (notice that they are all projectors)... I know that some of these cars does have the auto-lever headlight function but i guess that comes with the extra $1K that you have to pay for that option. Bottom line, it's all about aligning and adjusting your headlights properly

Projector Headlight Schematic:

Reflector Type Headlight Schematic: (blinding hondas)

The light discharge pattern from a projector type headlight is more controlled and focused compared to the refector type (that's what the blinding hondas have)

As for the color temperature... the lower the K or kelvin the cooler it is (red) and the higher the K the hotter (blue).
As for the brightness the HID bulbs themselves (it doesn't matter what color temp) emit the same amount of light. The (visibilty) difference we see is just the way the colors interact/reflect with the suroundings and on how our eyes percieve it (Just like on hearing tests... some guys might be more sensitive and hear other frequencies and others don't)

Lastly...
As for our tibs...from what i have seen, the hid kits doesn't blind people on the road as long the driver/owner/tuner take the time and responsibility to aim and align the correctly (also it helps if other people dont stare at it while driving lol.gif). The ricer honda guys blind people prolly because they want too. They deliberately aim their headlights high to be noticed or just didn't know how or didn't bother or care to aim it properly... also, it's because on how the reflector type headlamps are designed.

For LNHeart's pic... that is because of the combination of the distance angle and the camera... but look at the driver side one... that's what it is like normally.

Exactly what Jay-M said, here is a pic of looking straight to the front of the car kinda the angle u would look at it from a car, have to take some pics of it from a rear view mirror... anyways, here they are

Hope they helped.

Thanks again Jay, For the great product and awsome deal!!
