Important Announcement:

The distributor of these kits has changed to a different manufacturer!!!

The new manufacturer is called Tokyo Subaru and these kits are made in Japan (pretty obvious with the manufacturer name, eh). I very confident with this new kit and i assure that you will be 100% satisfied with them. The distributor has a 1 year warranty for them as well... so don't worry, i've still got your back fing02.gif

This simply means, that the kits that i still have on hand will be exchanged for these new kits. It will be available in any bulb size, BUT only in 6000K and in 9000K color temperature!!! Also, the price is still the same as before.

Now here are some pics...

Packaging:

Packaging Contents:

As you can see the kit includes everything you need for install... I just apologize for the instruction booklet... It's only in japanese writing, but the pics and the diagrams inside is worth a million words!!!

Ballasts and Bulb: (9006 in 9000K bulb pictured here)

Weatherproof Ballast:
The ballast itself has the tabs for mounting (using screws to hold it down) but you can always use the doublesided tape (which i did, and it holds still strong)

I am going to order a set of the 9006 bulbs in 9k color. That is the perfect color for my taste.

Look forward to receiving the product Jay, thanks so much for being sooo helpful and professional.

BTW: Does the new kit plug right up to the stock connectors? What does the small connector go to?

Thanks. smile.gif

Anyway, thanks for such a detailed and explanatory PM, I am REALLY looking forward to these. I have been thinking about HID's for a LONG time and now I will finally have them! nana.gif

Here are some pictures of my headlights with the 9006 9000k HID kit. It's not that visible in the picture, but there is supposed to be a blue tint in the light. Very nice kit. Thanks Jay.

Hey Jay-M (or anyone else for this matter):

I am about to order my kit (just waiting my mid month paycheck) and I wanted to ask about the color... I don't want my lights to be too blue, but judging for the pics, the 9000k is not too blueish right? On the other hand, pictures do not reflect real light colors too well; so the best would be for you to describe for me what that blue is like... it's like the lights of the Mercs and BMWs with Xenons? Or is it bluer than that?
Actually what I don't like is to have lights like when you install those dark blue NON-HID halogens... too blue for my taste.
The light of the Mercs and BMWs (or any other brand with real HIDs for instance) is not too blue, it's perfect, but I don't know the color code, would it be the 9000k you are offering?
Let me know please, I am ordering the either the 6000k or 9000k no matter what, I just want to pick the right color.

Zman,

(i've sent a copy of this on your PM as well)

You are truly right about pictures/camera... they dont really represent the real deal. Also with hid's there are diferences if you look at it head on (on different angles and distances), difference when you look at i on the ground/wall (garage door) and difference when you look at it on the lcd screen of your digital camera; then another when you shoot that pic.

But bottom line, the 6000K and 9000K of this kit is bright white; the only difference is the tint that is added to that.

The 9000K is bright white with a dominant blue tint; now as i have said, the intesity differs from angles, distances and orientation of the view (looking at it head on, from the side or from the back). Now, the blue tint is only a light touch... it's not too blue or dark blue at all.

Now, the 6000K is a REALLY bright white light with no tint at; maybe a very very slight blue only in some angles, but it's like its not present at all!!! This color temperature is a very safe choice if you are still torn with this decision.

Also, since you have the korean spec tib (H1 bulbs for lows and highs), are your headlights the projector type like like on the north american spec ones?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On your question below...

yes, overall it's light tint blue not TOO blue at all..
and also i believe that the H1 9000K is in stock... i'll send you a PM regarding a confirmation of availability shortly

Thanks so much,

- jay-m

Yeap, the low beam is projector style also.
I am feeling more inclined to the 9000k... I like the blueish light, just not TOO blue.
Do you have H1s 9000k on stock?
