Default CNK Turbo Kit - Dyno Graph with CNK ECU

Hi all,

Hi all,

After long testing and trial designs, I managed to find the solution for tuning the BETA2 engine's fueling and ignition in piggy back mode! The ECU compliments the CNK 300HP turbo kit 100% and can also be used for tuning in normally aspirated mode or for any form of forced induction also - after the installation of the ECU I ran Lostbouy's car on the dyno. The engine has only 1200km's on the new low compression CNK pistons, rings, and bearings. (just run in) So figures aren't as high as a loosened up motor would show. Harry - you heard the blow off while I was running the engine in...

The tuning was done with 8Psi and an ambient temperature of 33 degrees celcius! I tuned with overly rich AF ratios to be 100% safe also leading to lower power figures. Adjustments will be made once more mileage is done on the engine.

Well the end result is seen on the dyno graph at the attached link below:-

http://groups.msn.com/HyundaiTiburon/cnkpe...to&PhotoID=1526

The figures are <UNCORRECTED> and at the front wheels showing true power at the wheels. Note the compressor effeciency is around 55 - 60% with 8Psi, with a boost increase to around 13 - 15Psi - power at the wheels will increase to around 280 - 300 depending on ambient temperature.

*************************************************
Guys - I have to do this sorry ---- DSM SONATA and co.... you remember saying that it was impossible to make 220WHP at 7 - 8PSI of boost nomatter what size turbo was being used..... well put this in your pipe and smoke it!! wiggle_m moon poke moon wiggle_m
*************************************************

By the graph you can see that the boost responce is very good under 3000RPM, and from 3K the firewoks start - the WHP increases from 67 to 178 in 1500RPM - that is blistering acceleration! The turbo's compressor wheel has been matched so that torque holds high for as long as possible for smooth and strong acceleration through the entire Rev range. Once the boost is increased, the added effeciency of the compressor wheel will allow the torque curve to increase alot more, but also hold high for longer - up to around 7000RPM

As of Friday all 300HP CNK turbo kits will have the pre-tuned ECU included into the package at NO EXTRA COST ---- the turbo kit is still being retailed at $2700.00 and will remain at this price until further notice!

To purchase the ECU seperately - the cost of the unit is $250.00 excluding shipping and will come with an already setup map to start your engine. The ECU will run on ANY Hyundai engine MAF or MAP! The beauty of this ECU is that there are only 8 wires to connect , and there are none to be run into the engine bay at all! Everything is connected at the Stock computer box harness so it makes installation ALOt easier - total time to install the CNK ECU solution is 45Minutes and the engine starts!

TAKE ADVANTAGE NOW!!!

What will that ECU do for a normally aspirated engine?

With the CNK ECU you have full control of fueling and ignition, so depending on your harware - you can tune any A/F ratio and ignition advance you want --- with the BETA2 engine by leaning out about 8 - 12% you should gain about 10 - 15HP with no engine mods at all.

Adding camshafts, CAI, headers, zorst, and other... your potential skyrockets.

So perhaps, this new ECU coupled with, let's say, the Alpine Supercharger, I would get better gains than most just using the S/C and the Unichip?

Chris!
Very impressive numbers.Excellent work
I just two quick questions for you.First of all was the Tiburon Stock with NO other mods when you Tunned and installed the Turbo
Finally you think we can achieve these numbers on MAF cars.

Hootie ---

DEFINITELY!!

2 Uniq --- the Elantra that this dyno graph was done on was 100% stock standard! Thats even the stock clutch! I simply took the 300HP kit and installed it onto the stock standard car and it did what yuo see on the dyno.

Maier --- correct I will build up a unit and ship it to you soon.

What do you use to adjust the A/F with the new ECU?

As far as the tuning goes. Will the software be a GUI system? or more of a command line type?
