I'll go to the shop and take a picture of the work done so far. Its not much (the turbo isn't even on yet. Just finished the engine honing.
But I will post the pics and that of my car. I was kidding Bat when I said I didn't want to show my car yet.

Just ask.

Hell, I'll even post the pics of the brakes for you too smile.gif

I'm sorry, but since when is having the onset of boost at ~3000rpm considered fast spooling? I believe a generally accepted limit for fast spooling is full boost by 1/2 redline, or 3375 in this case.

Its not my idea of a good kit, but then again I dont care so much about peak power numbers but rather how and where its delivered seeing as I'm not a avid drag racer.

Yeah sorry my car is taking so long, but we all know perfection can't be rushed tongue.gif

Actually its begining to get really bad, I've been asking friends for rides this past month due to the fact that NONE OF MY CARS are operational and I think that most of them are annoyed at me now rolleyes.gif .

I'll go to the shop hopefully this week and start up the car with the rebuilt engine. Hopefully I'll be done everything in a month.

If I remember right, he's had that kit since about August, but it seems like Chris changes his mind about the kit every week, so I doubt MaierApril has an "up to date" kit.
I think because he finally got the ECU Piggyback to his expectations and teh is happy with teh numbers.he can now send teh ECU to Maier and we will get the Dyno results for us

As usual Chris can't say anything without someone giving him grief
Maybe Maier didn't have the cash to get the work done in august, hell someone tries to make us a good turbo kit and all there is is grief given in return.
All I will say is that I have been watching Chris's work with great interest, and when the time comes and finances allow, there will be a cheque for US$3000 winging it's way to him for one of his top notch turbo kits.

Barry.

I can second that. I had most of my own kit together and the odds and ends were driving me nuts. It takes a lot longer than I once thought. That's why I'm postponing the install for a while -- too much hassle and not enough time and money.

I sympathize with you, Maier! smile.gif

But if he has the full CNK kit like he claimed, there shouldn't be any odds and ends. Either that or Chris doesn't have the "complete" kit he's advertising.

I'm not trying to bash anybody, but before we take MaierApril's kit as a "full test kit" to be dynoed, we need to find out piece-by-piece what is being installed and what Chris is offering that is different in his kit.

What I would rather see is a full kit to a 3rd party (unbiased party) that is shipped straight from SA to that person in its entirety, just like an order will be.

I believe this is much like the sponsorship Chris tried doing earlier. If he's offering the kits at $2700 now then he should be able to sponsor somebody a kit for at least $2000 since there was a supposed loss previously by sponsoring it at $2500.
